Flea Market

The open Flea Market in NYC is always fun to visit. Today I went to 24St between 5th and 6th and I bought a used DVD for $6 a Michael Haneke film "Time of the Wolf" an elegantly pessimistic movie which I consider one of the best movies I've seen in 2004.

I took this shot yesterday, August 19 inside my bathroom. It was all improvisational. My materials include: the glass sliding door, the sink, the bathroom window's available lights and the lime colored glass

I remember very well. It was hot and humid that day in the Graden. I was sweating profusely. The Lotus has a very soothing effect on me.

Butoh Dancer

A dancer performing Japan's avant-garde Butoh dance in Brooklyn Botanical Garden. The dancer was wearing a white body makeup and a loincloth. He was part of a group of 12 dancers leaping wildly in frenzy. The Butoh dance is a performing art that originated in post Word War II Japan and was first performed in 1959.

Pierced Couple

I saw them in Long Island City along the East River on July 4th. A huge crowd gathered for the Macy's July 4th Firework Spectacular What took my interest was the amount of colors emited by this couple. But look at those
nose and mouth piercing....

Why

I started this blog today August 6,2005 after reading the August 5, 2005 NY Times Editorial " Measuring the Blogosphere" . It stated that nearly 80,000 new blogs are created everyday and there are some 14.2 million in existence today. Prior to this
though I accidentally came across PARC photoblog a filipino photo blogger sharing his photo diary in a conversational form. I was profoundly engaged.. There are different ways to share photos on the net however I find the avenue of blogging more personal and immediate.

For the meantime I will post some Photographs classified under "People" I took a while back until I get my blogging straight.
I have a very busy schedule however I will make it a point to post current photos on a daily basis.

The above photo is a portrait of my godchild Nina Zing.

Enjoy.
